Hearthstone

(Updated 04/27/2016)

All tournaments will be played in standard format with the conquest ruleset.

General Rules

Both players start by choosing three decks.

You may only have one deck per class, so three different classes total.

Each player chooses a deck to start with. This choice is hidden to their opponent.

All matches will be best-of-5. The first player to win 3 games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.

Combat proceeds as normal.

Even Though the game is made so that there should not be a possibility of this happening but If there is a discovery of cheating or use of cards outside of the standard format the offending player will immediately be disqualified, the other player will advance.

For standard format see:

 http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Standard_format

Any deck that is defeated may be played again, or another deck may be used.

Any deck that is victorious can no longer be used. Another deck must be chosen.

Players will be told by their opponent what classes their opponent has available, but they won’t know which class is picked until both players have picked.

For a demonstration see here:

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hfGtSMPUMg

The victor of the entire match is the one who wins with all three of their decks.

If there is over 128 entrants in qualifiers, qualifiers will be single elimination

This will continue until we have 64 remaining players who will move onto Grand Finals which will take place the following day (June 5th)

Grand Finals will be double elimination until a single champion rises!

Additional Rules:

Only encouragement of other players is allowed, anything proven for this not to be the case will have the offending player disqualified and removed after the first warning depending on severity.

Unless agreed upon by both players coaching is not allowed and completely disallowed in Grand Finals.

If there is an issue with connection at a PC the TO must be notified immediately.

All games must take place on TheGameCon PC’s.

All disputes are resolved by our tournament organizers, if the conflict is not resolved the TO reserves the right for ad hoc addendums.
